There were ten individual entries, with four participants from Tisbury. The weather featured a mix of hot sun and clouds, accompanied by a refreshing breeze. We didn't win but we're getting better! The results do not really reflect the games we played. We may not have won but everyone played well and seemed to enjoy themselves. Everyone was happy with the new handicaps. I think the penny has now dropped that having a low handicap is not necessarily a good thing in match play! Croquet on a glorious summer evening Croquet, sunshine and an impromptu supper — Thursday evenings don’t get much better. We held a GC mix-in and an al fresco supper and it was such a lovely, relaxed night. At the end of the day it was 10:6 to Kington Langley. We were level pegging at lunch but then collapsed in the third session and drew in the fourth. Perhaps we had too good a lunch and too many tarts for tea!
