Sixth Internal Short Croquet Tournament at Tisbury

On Friday, 25th September 2026, the day commenced early to prepare both short courts for play. We were pleased to welcome our newest member, Rosemary Bradshaw, to the tournament. Rosemary, an honorary member of Budleigh Salterton now residing in Salisbury, is a passionate Short Croquet player.

Play began at 10 am, and the sun shone for the remainder of the day. Participants included Clive Camp, Geoff Cluett, Jan Kot, David Morley, Lawrie Webster, and Rosemary Bradshaw.

We played a total of eight games, with one game having to be concluded prematurely. It was an enjoyable day featuring exceptional stroke play and sustained breaks. While there were occasional mishaps and disappointments, the results were overall positive.

The day remained warm, concluding with a celebratory drink.

At that time, we considered it a good idea to host another Short Croquet Tournament next month in October, during which a presentation will be made to the best player across all seven tournaments.
