There were only four entries this time for our monthly Internal Short Croquet tournament in Tisbury on Friday 28th August.

We managed to play two competitive rounds in bright sunshine before dark clouds threatened and the heavens opened. We were forced to run for cover and call it a day. David Morley won both his games in some style, especially the second game when he still had three hoops to run and then peg out with only one bisque remaining. David held his nerve and went on to finish both games on 14 points each  -  well done, David!

We were delighted to welcome Rosemary Bradshaw, a distinguished AC/SC player originally very active at Budleigh Salterton who has now retired and lives in Salisbury. Rosemary saw the article in the Salisbury Journal about our win at Kington Langley and asked whether she could come and watch a match. She was so impressed with the club that, despite having thought she had hung up her mallet, she may well decide to join us.
